Hendrikse of Hendrikse Xperience is de singer-songwriter, blues artiest (Rob) Hendrikse bijgestaan
door Stephan van Helden op lead guitar en Abner Tanghe op drums of cajon..
Sinds 2009 speelde Rob bijna 1000 shows in Nederland, België, Zwitserland, Duitsland en Spanje met
zijn verschillende bands en solo.
Ook was hij het voorprogramma van Jeff Jensen (VS), Morblus (IT), Laurence Jones (UK), Dilana
(NL/VS) in 2014, 2016 en 2019, Leif de Leeuw Band, Rob Orlemans & Half Past Midnight, My Brainbox
(feat. Jan Akkerman), Ruben Hoeke Band, King of the World, Letz Zep (UK), Brad Guitar Wilson (USA), The Brian Chartrand Trio (USA en hij speelde ook met
Gordon Smith (UK), Dilana (USA/NL), Cindy Peress (USA), Robert Smith (NL), Bas Paardekooper (NL),
Ron Baggerman (NL), Rob Orlemans (NL) en Steve Payne & Paul Hobday (VK/Wales). Met zijn band of
solo, staat Rob samen met Steve Payne (Wales) op het podium als Steve op tournee is in Nederland.
 

Hendrikse (Xperience) brengt een combinatie van het eigen werk van Hendrikse en bekende
rock/blues classics in een eigen, ander (blues) jasje.
Hendrikse (Xperience) speelt in twee verschillende settings, afhankelijk van de locatie en de wensen
van de organisatoren/bookers. Een volledig elektrische setting met een stevige sound, of een wat
intiemere Hendrikse (Xperience) Unplugged setting waarbij de drums vervangen worden door cajon
en Rob zijn akoestische gitaar oppakt.

In 2021 kwam het album 'A Good Day For The Blues' van Hendrikse uit, een blues album met 10 originele
nieuwe tracks met gastoptredens van Paul Hobday ( Wales), Jumping Matt Pribojzski (Hun), Rob
Orlemans (Rob Orlemans & Half Past Midnight), Randy van der Elsen (Vandenberg, Tank), Piet Tromp
(Rob Orlemans & Half Past Midnight), Alan Baxter (Sin City Rebels) en Francesco Daniël.
Het album was genomineerd voor de Dutch Blues CD Award 2021 en eindigde als hoogste
Nederlandse inzending op de 10e in de Bluesmagazine Blues Album Chart 2021.

De single 'The Ballad of a Damned Man' werd in september 2022 door de in de USA gevestigde World Songwriting Awards uitgeroepen tot 1 van de 10 beste blues songs van Zomer 2022.

Rob was solo of met de band al op verschillende festivals te zien, zoals Bluesroute Asten, Nispen
Blues (Nispen), Heyhoef Backstage (Tilburg), Midsummer Backstage Festival (Tilburg) en Big Rivers
Festival in Dordrecht, Strûun Festival Texel, Music Meets Texel, Roots to the Blues Dordrecht, Bergs
Bluesfestival, Bluesroute Helmond, Bluesfestival Delft, Culemborg Blues en tourde langs diverse poppodia in Nederland, Zwitserland, Spanje, Duitsland en
België.

Hendrikse or Hendrikse Xperience is the combined name of singer-songwriter, Dutch Blues CD Award 2021 nominated blues artist Rob Hendrikse, joined by Rolf Ran on bass, Stephan van Helden on lead guitar and Abner Tanghe on drums/percussion.

 

Since 2009 Rob played close to 1000 shows in the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain  and Germany with his bands..

He also was support act for Jeff Jensen (USA), Dilana (NL/USA) in 2014, 2016 and 2019, Leif de Leeuw Band (NL), Rob Orlemans & Half Past Midnight (NL), My Brainbox (feat. Jan Akkerman) (NL), Ruben Hoeke Band (NL), King of the World (NL), Letz Zep (UK) and he also played with Gordon Smith (UK), Dilana (USA/NL),

Cindy Peress (USA), Robert Smith (NL), Bas Paardekooper (NL), Ron Baggerman (NL), Rob Orlemans (NL) and Steve Payne & Paul Hobday (UK/Wales). With his band Hendrikse Xperience or solo Rob joins Steve Payne (Wales) on stage when Steve is touring in the Netherlands.

 

Hendrikse (Xperience) brings a combination of original Hendrikse songs and rock/blues classics in a Hendrikse style.
Hendrikse (Xperience) plays in two different settings, depending on the wishes of location and/or bookers.
A full electric setting with a solid sound or a more intimate semi-acoustic setting where the drums will be replaced by cajon and Rob pick up an acoustic guitar.

 

In 2021 the EP ‘Hendrikse & Jumping Matt - Blues Without Borders’ was released in in May, followed by the album ‘A Good Day For The Blues’ in July, a blues album with 10 original new tracks with guest appearances of Paul Hobday (Wales), Jumping Matt Pribojzski (Hun), Rob Orlemans (Rob Orlemans & Half Past Midnight), Randy van der Elsen (Vandenberg, Tank), Piet Tromp (Rob Orlemans & Half Past Midnight), Alan Baxter (Sin City Rebels) and Francesco Daniel.
The album recieved many great reviews all around the globe and was nominated fort he Dutch Bles CD Award 2021 and ended as highest Dutch entry on the 10th place in the Bluesmagazine Blues Album Chart 2021.

In September 2022 the single 'The Ballad of a Damned Man' was awarded the title of of of the best 10 blues songs of Summer 2022 by the USA based World Songwriting Awards.

 

Since April 2016 Rob is playing solo as well and played on various festivals like Nispen Blues (Nispen), Heyhoef Backstage (Tilburg), Midsummer Backstage Festival (Tilburg) and Big Rivers Festival in Dordrecht, Strûun Festival Texel, Music Meets Texel, Roots to the Blues Dordrecht, Bergs Bluesfestival, 3 Swiss Tours and various music venues and festivals in The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Spain.
